Our mission and philosophy

<p>Our mission is to explain to people that acoustics cannot be seen but can be heard and is all around us. And since it is not always a pleasant feeling, we try to:</p>

Our Team

  • Ing. Martin Jedovnický, PhD.

    CEO, senior acoustic consultant

    Ing. Martin Jedovnický, PhD.

    In my youth, I played active football and experienced successes and losses with my teammates. Football had a significant impact on the development of my team spirit and responsibility towards the collective. After university studies in the field of physics of musical instruments and subsequent doctoral studies in spatial acoustics, I used these personal qualities together with the acquired education when founding the company AkuDesign s.r.o.. I am of the opinion that success is always the merit of all team members, and therefore I always try to bring my colleagues together as much as possible both professional and human side.

    MSc. Matej Žák

    As a musician and sound engineer, my journey led me to acoustics, which I decided to devote myself to. During my studies at London South Bank University, I decided to practice as a junior acoustician and learn practical measurements, simulations and calculations in all areas of acoustics. As an acoustician and manager, my role in the company is to lead our team of junior acousticians, business and company development. In my free time, I enjoy making music and spending time with my family.

    Ing. Igor Bednár

    For more than 12 years, I worked in occupational health & safety and fire protection in the construction industry. That experience taught me that careful planning, an eye for detail, and respect for regulations are key to a safe and efficient environment. Today, as a project manager at AkuDesign, I bring that experience together with team leadership and project coordination — helping projects become reality safely and smoothly. I believe a good project rests not only on a solid foundation, but on people you can rely on.

  • Ing. Katarína Rendek

    TEAMLEADER, acoustician

    Ing. Katarína Rendek

    My work is very diverse. I mostly work on interior and exterior noise assessments reports, analyze construction areas, assess layouts for dividing structures and air conditioning equipment. I am working on functional and feasible solutions and noise-proofing solutions. Beside acoustics, I enjoy creative work, so I also manage our social media. In my free time, you can find me on the slope or on the green.

  • Ing. Peter Tomek

    Project manager, acoustician

    Ing. Peter Tomek

    I focus on technical and project solutions for our noise-proofing designs in our team. The main content of my job is 3D scanning and data processing, drawing up project documentation, preparing documents for realization work and performing author’s supervision on construction sites. Outside of work, I most often realize myself by working in the garden and domestic construction work. Beside that I enjoy hiking, cycling, watching Formula 1 and historical documents.

    Katarína Urblíková

    As an office manager, I ensure the smooth running of the company, coordinate administrative processes and support the team in daily operations. I emphasize precision, reliability and a proactive approach in my work. In my free time, I like to travel, which helps meto developmy organizational skills and flexibility in the work too.

    Ing. Jozef Martyščák

    For me, designing of the steel structures is workand great fun at the same time. And when this work is related to the design of acoustic cabins and noiseproofing solutions, where seemingly insignificant things decide the acoustic quality, for me each project becomes a personal challenge and the work a great hobby. Of course, I also have other hobbies, among which I put my family first. I like cycling, hiking and teaching students in the field of 3D design.

    Peter and we have known each other personally since 2010 and, as part of our professional cooperation, we have so far handed over many projects in the field of civil engineering.

    Acoustics have been a part of my life since I can remember. I got an offer to work on the topic of building acoustics as part of ŠVOČ in my first year at the University. Then every year I worked on a topic from the field under the guidance of an acoustics teacher. My passion to know more let me to doctoral studies, during which I completed an internship in Belgium. I had the opportunity to improve my knowledge under the guidance of the best acousticians in Slovakia and abroad. Nowadays I focus on building and room acoustics.

    Ing. Martin Bočák

    In my spare time, my best relaxation is working with wood in my workshop. I also like to spend time wandering around nature, either hiking or cycling. It fills me with peace and happiness. At Akudesign, I work as a project manager in the implementation division. My job involves designing, preparing quotations, managing the contract, communicating with the customer and suppliers. In short, this means translating the design of an acoustic study into a technical and feasible form to the final handover of the finished work to the customer. I graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava and I have a degree in Architectural Structures and Design. I try to translate my knowledge and experience from my studies into solutions on projects in the most precise form. In my work I try to look at things with a pragmatic view, which helps me to find solutions even in more challenging projects.

    Ing. Viktor Gonda

    Music and the world of sounds have been part of my life since childhood—I play a musical instrument, which has deepened my sensitivity to acoustic environments. This ability naturally evolved into a passion for architecture, which I study at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, majoring in Building Construction and Architecture. When assessing the quality of acoustic environments, I aim to harmonize their parameters with the technical and aesthetic requirements of architectural design. In team settings, I am a reliable and empathetic member who helps build trust and positive working relationships.

    Dominik Matušica

    I got into acoustics gradually — I started noticing how noise can affect people, disrupt the comfort of an environment, and create problems we often don’t even realize. Today, I focus on environmental acoustics and noise studies, especially in situations that require a mix of technical precision and practical thinking. I often work in the field, where conditions are far from ideal — whether it’s uneven terrain, limited options for placing equipment, or the need to find safe and effective solutions in places that seem impossible at first glance.

    Ing. Ivana Rabjanská

    I have been involved in construction since high school, but my desire to work in this field has been with me since childhood. My studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at STU in Bratislava led me to acoustics. I focus on acoustics both indoors and outdoors – from noise reduction to creating pleasant environments. I enjoy finding thoughtful solutions where technical precision meets strategic thinking – much like the games I play in my free time. Besides gaming, I also love to relax with a good book.

    Ing. Zuzana Dadykinová

    When choosing a university, I had my doubts – nowadays, it is truly difficult to pick something that will not only provide a living but also bring fulfillment and joy to your everyday work. In the end, thanks to my passion for technology, I decided to study at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at STU. Although I was always afraid of choosing the wrong profession, I am now grateful that I have found something I genuinely enjoy doing. Of course, not every day is perfect – there are challenging moments, too. That’s when I recharge by staying active, which helps me clear my mind and regain new energy.

    Ing. Martin Antaš

    I am a graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at STU in Bratislava, where I studied Architectural and Structural Design. I was drawn to acoustics by a desire to explore something more dynamic and specialized than traditional design after university. As part of the AkuDesign team, I specialize in room acoustics, where I am currently responsible for preparing acoustic studies for a diverse range of buildings – from classrooms to multifunctional sports halls. My goal is to deliver solutions that seamlessly blend structural and technical requirements with acoustic comfort. When I’m not working on simulations, I enjoy traveling, playing badminton, or unwinding with a good TV series.

    Bc. Martin Derco

    Music, dance, and sports have been an integral part of my life from an early age. These activities have taught me discipline, teamwork, and a keen awareness of space and sound. During my studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, I discovered the field of acoustics, where technology meets a real impact on people's everyday lives. At AkuDesign, I primarily focus on room acoustics, developing solutions that create comfortable, functional, and acoustically balanced spaces. I enjoy working on projects where attention to detail matters and where a well-designed acoustic solution can make a noticeable difference to the overall quality of a space.

    Jakub Oleár

    My curiosity about acoustics was sparked during my studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at STU in Bratislava, where this subject was completely new to me. However, it fascinated me so much that I decided to dive in fully and work in this field. Today, my daily routine involves preparing noise studies. Besides desk work, I immensely enjoy site visits, where I can experience the environment with my own ears, see the locations firsthand, and ultimately design the best possible solution. In the team, I strive to be a highly reliable and precise colleague who loves to bring a smile to others' faces. I like to recharge my batteries through team sports with friends.

    Michal Turňa

    My first encounter with acoustics was while studying at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, where I developed an interest in the way it combines civil engineering with physics and directly influences people's everyday quality of life. At AkuDesign, I work on room acoustics studies for a wide range of building types. My work includes acoustic calculations, simulations, and on-site measurements, which help me design effective solutions that improve acoustic comfort in buildings. Every project is a new challenge and an opportunity for me to expand my expertise and gain valuable practical experience. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, but I also like relaxing with a good movie or TV series.

    Bc. Katarína Reťkovská

    As a student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, I have always been interested in professions that not many people pursue, which is exactly what makes them interesting. Acoustics is one such profession, and that is why I am happy to be a part of the AkuDesign team. My responsibilities include preparing noise studies, conducting field measurements, and finding solutions that satisfy our customers. In my free time, I enjoy sports such as diving, swimming, and skiing. I also like reading a good book and traveling.

    Bc. Kristián Laščiak

    I am a student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at STU in Bratislava, where I study Architectural and Structural Design. I was drawn to acoustics by the opportunity to combine structural engineering with detailed physical analysis and modern technology. As part of the AkuDesign team, I specialize in building and environmental acoustics. My primary responsibilities include preparing noise impact studies, predictive modeling, and simulations, while also actively participating in the company's internal research activities and workflow automation. When I am not working on simulations, I am always trying to find new ways to do things better and faster.
