Acoustic measurements and assessments

We make measurements in the field of environmental, room and building acoustics, in which we take into account the measured noise level, the shortcomings of spaces and building structures.

Acoustic measurements

  • We assess the impact of noise from production facilities, air conditioning, cooling, and other technical equipment by measuring noise in the environment
  • When measuring noise, we look for possible sources of noise that can negatively affect the surroundings
  • Technical measurements in the working environment are intended for the design of noise-proofing measures to protect employees from noise
  • We measure reverberation time, speech intelligibility and other parameters when designing the room acoustics of cultural halls, administrative and school spaces
  • We make airborne and structureborne sound insulation measurements to verify the sound insulation of walls and ceilings
“The impact of excessive noise on the human body is often underestimated, but long-term exposure can have lasting health consequences”

Acoustic assessments

  • Acoustic assessments are usually based on noise and sound insulation measurements
  • On the basis of Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic no. 549/2007 Coll. we assess the suitability of the area for construction, renovation or change of functional use
  • Sound insulation of walls and ceilings is assessed according to technical standard STN 73 0532
  • In case of exceeding the highest permissible values, or failure to achieve desired sound insulation, acoustic measures are designed in the assessment
  • These assessments serve the purposes of construction proceedings and approvals, litigation and noise reduction in the workplace
“Each acoustic assessment is individual and that’s how we approach it.”
