Building certification

Building certification and acoustics go hand in hand as each certification scheme requires an assessment of environmental, room and building acoustics. Building certification adds credibility to the provision of a quality indoor environment, which of course also includes acoustics, as well as contributes to sustainability.

WELL

  • The WELL certification system focuses on the human health and well-being.
  • The requirements are based on medical research and focus on the quality of the indoor environment.
  • Acoustic conditions are assessed in the project phase and verified at the building implementation phase.
  • WELL certification deals with: Sound mapping – label acoustic zones
  • Dividing spaces into zones according to functional use (called sound mapping in translation)
  • Noise in the workplace and sound insulation separating the construction by speech intelligibility and reverberation time
  • Maximum noise level in the workplace, sound insulation of dividing constructions, speech indelibility and reverberation time
